Another item which has fascinated me, I don't know why, is the fountain at Walnut Hill in Omaha.

So I've been told, this was first commissioned in the early 1900s when the Walnut Hill Reservoir, at the highest point in the city, was dedicated.

Alas, when I lived in this area, this fountain was broken, rusty, fenced off, and had not operated for years. :(

Not too long after I moved out of the neighborhood, this was restored, re-installed, and once again shines in her glory! :)
